    "Disability-Inclusive Workplaces: Attracting Diverse Talent "


    ABOUT THE EVENT:  This is part of our SHRM Portqage County 2025 Diversity and Inclusion Learning Series. We are partnering with the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities to provide business owners and HR professionals an understanding of the ways we can make our businesses more inclusive.  

    For this event, participants can learn and earn 1 SHRM PDC and/or 1 HRCI  Credit.

    ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: This webinar will offer actionable steps for businesses to attract and be inclusive of applicants with disabilities who are seeking employment.

    ABOUT THE SPEAKERS: 

    Ronald Klonowski

    Ron is the Business Relations Specialist for East Central Ohio with the Division of Employer and Innovation Services at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). In this role, Ron supports Ohio’s businesses in hiring and retaining individuals with disabilities. Ron joined OOD in May 2018 and has a bachelor of arts degree in business and organizational communications- public relations. Before joining OOD, Ron worked for The Arc of Stark County and has more than 27 years of experience in Non-Profit Management and Public Relations.

    Tawnya Jones

    Tawnya is a Career and Credential Consultant with the Division of Employer and Innovation Services at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). In this role, Tawyna supports improved outcomes for individuals with disabilities by facilitating connections with training programs leading to credentials needed for in-demand jobs. Tawnya joined OOD in April 2022 and has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and an associate degree in accounting. Before joining OOD, Tawnya worked for The Autism Intervention Center and has more than 25 years of experience in customer relations.
