      SHRM Portage County Mentorship Program

SHRM Portage County is proud to serve as a mentoring organization for the Kent State University Student HR Association.

The purpose of the Mentorship Program is to increase the touch points between HR professionals who are members of of the chapter with students who are members of the Kent State student chapter of SHRM.

      Student Program:

This iis a one-on-one mentorship designed as a defined relationship between an HR professional with in-depth knowledge of their field, helping students hone skills, discover opportunities, and make connections they can carry into their careers. The desired outcome is for the HR professional to provide students with valuable insights and guidance such as practical advice, industry knowledge, and networking opportunities.

To participate in the program, students will complete an online application to match the student with a Mentor.  The length of the memntorship is determined by the mentor and mentee.
