ABOUT THE EVENT: This is part of our SHRM Portage COunty 2025 Health and Safety Learning Series. We are partnering with the Portage County Safety Council to provide business owners, HR and Health & Safety professionals an understanding of the 2025 topcis related to workplace safety.
This month the focus is on burn precention in the workplace.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Keynote speaker - Donald Elswick, EHSS Trainer & Specialist, ELSMART Associates, LLC., and Carl Habekost, Professor, University of Findlay Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
ABOUT THE PRESENTAION: After this session, you will be able to:
- Identify the scope of heat stress and strain in occupational settings.
- Recognize the need for monitoring heat stress in occupational environments.
- Assess heat strain through physiological monitoring.
- Implement strategies to mitigate heat stress and strain using a heat stress management plan.
