    "Boosting Engagement in Employee Resource Groups"

    ABOUT THE EVENT:  This is part of our PCHRA 2024 Diversity and Inclusion Learning Series. We are partnering with the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities to provide business owners and HR professionals an understanding of the ways we can make our businesses more inclusive.  

    For this event, participants can learn and earn 1 SHRM PDC and/or 1 HRCI  Credit.

    ABOUT THE PRESENTATION: This webinar shares strategies employers can take to create disability-focused Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), the benefits of organizational leadership support, and best practices to gain and increase staff engagement.

     ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:  Panel Discussion

    Julie Lasher

    Julie Lasher is the Business Relations Specialist for Southeast Ohio with the Division of Employer and Innovation Services at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). In this role, Julie supports Ohio’s businesses in hiring and retaining individuals with disabilities. Julie joined OOD in October 2022 and earned a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences.

    Allison Jones

    Allison Jones is the Career Development Specialist for Southeast Ohio with the Division of Employer and Innovation Services at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). In this role, Allison supports Ohio’s businesses in their efforts to hire college students with disabilities for internship opportunities. Allison joined OOD in April 2023 and earned a master’s degree in counseling education and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
