On behalf of The Portage County Safety Council, PCHRA invites you to join PCSC's July Meeting titled:
"The Real Cost of Safety"
ABOUT THE EVENT: This is part of our PCHRA 2024 Health and Safety Learning Series. We are partnering with the Portage County Safety Council to provide business owners, HR and Health & Safety professionals an understanding of the 2024 OSHA regulations and procedures. This month the focus is on Safety in a production environment.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics there were 2.6million reported non-fatal workplace injuries within the private sector in 2021. This equates to 7 non-fatal work injuries per 100 Full Time Employees including 1.7 resulting in time away from work, job restrictions or job transfers. These workplace injuries affect business operations and the lives of those who were injured. During this presentation we will explore how workplace injuries impact the business and the injured worker.
This session will:
-
Define the difference between direct & indirect costs associated with workplace injuries.
-
List long term effects of workplace injuries for the injured worker.
-
Explain the safety snowball effect.
